Detectives are examining CCTV footage showing two men parking a car belonging to a missing relative.
Willis Ayieko, Senior Human Resources Manager at the company Wells Fargohas been missing for four days now.
Ayieko was last seen on Friday, October 18, attending a funeral in Gem Constituency, County Siaya.
He was expected to attend other activities there Kakamega the next day, but he did not come.
Several days later, his Ford double cab was found abandoned near a petrol station in Sabatia.
The car's relocation more than 385 kilometers from Gem has raised concerns, prompting further investigation.
The officer in charge of the case revealed that detectives have found CCTV footage showing two men loading the missing officer's car.
The images are expected to be of great importance in solving the mystery of Ayieko's disappearance.
“The CCTV footage will help in the ongoing investigation. It is very important,” said the official, as reported by the Nation.
He added that identifying the men could provide important information about how they got the car and whether Ayieko was there at the time.
The case of Ayieko's disappearance became public over the weekend when concerned social media users began circulating her photos online, pleading for information on her whereabouts.
Police are hopeful that identifying the two men recorded on CCTV will provide answers, as the search for Mr. Ayieko intensifies.
