A single family in the Eastleigh area of the city Nairobi is seeking justice after a mother and her two daughters were allegedly killed.
Three deceased family members went missing on Monday, October 21, 2024, and their bodies were found in Bahati, Parklands, and Machakos.
Their bodies were also mutilated and had similar injuries, according to a Citizen TV report.
Family members were called to identify the bodies of the brothers in the City mortuary, while their mother was found and transferred to the Machakos mortuary.
What happened to the Eastleigh sisters?
Initial reports indicate that the girls, Amina and Swaiba, left home looking for their mother, who went to the hospital that day but had not yet returned home.
The sisters, aged 11 and 22, left home at 11:30pm in the hope of finding their beloved mother, who they thought was still receiving skin treatments.
“Our aunt Waris said she was going to undergo a skin examination at the BBS mall. She left at 2:30 in the morning, and when it was 5 in the morning, the sisters called her, where she assured them that she was on her way,” Sumeya Noor, a relative of the family, explained.
As time went by, the girls decided to go looking for him, but met their death suddenly. CCTV video recorded the two making phone calls at the mall before exiting and getting into the car.
“In the morning, we were informed that there was a body found on Park Road, and when we got there, we confirmed that it was one of the girls, and her body was cut into pieces,” Noor added.
The family has asked the detectives to conduct an urgent investigation to find the perpetrators of the murder of their loved ones.
Additionally, coroners are expected to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death and other important information that will assist in the investigation.
