According to the tenant, they had been told to go find another house because the one they were living in needed to be repaired.

“I left first after we were told to move. I finally found a house and I came to collect the furniture of my house yesterday morning Sunday, November 20, 2024,” he said sadly.

“But when we arrived, the house collapsed while we were watching; we couldn't save our things. Our children have nothing and we also lost all our documents,” he added.

Talking to TUKO.co.kea resident of the area identified as Elsie Imbwaga explained that people have been talking about the building in a low voice as there were rumors that it might collapse due to cracks.

Another tenant had previously shared that the front of the building was very nice, and they never used the back door.

That, therefore, prevented them from knowing there were cracks in the basement.

He also claimed that they could not see the cracks as they would be carefully hidden and they never suspected the great danger that was staring at them for a while.
