The rumor spread after a poster, purportedly from a prominent media outlet, suggested the meeting would focus on the sacking of Rigathi Gachagua.

According to the fake poster, Koome allegedly sought clarification on the interference of the court process by the White House officials.

“The Chief Justice Martha Koome he will meet with President Ruto on Tuesday to discuss the alleged intimidation of judges and State House officials regarding the Gachagua removal cases,” read the poster.

The court, however, quickly responded by denying the allegations on its official social media platforms.

It shared the viral poster with a bold “Fake” stamp on it, urging the public to ignore the misleading information.
