What did Keroche say about Gachagua's removal from power?

The senator said that before the impeachment case in the Senate, Gachagua invited senators from the area Mount Kenya for the meeting.

However, a few days later, President William Ruto called him, along with Kiambu Senator Karungo Thang'wa and Nyandarua Senator John Methu.

Speaking to Inooro TV, Keroche said they met with Ruto for two hours, discussing relationship his degenerate and Gachagua.

“I remember my meeting was on Tuesday the other week, my meeting lasted 2 hours and no one else was there and I know even my colleagues were called privately,” Keroche said.

He also said that after their meeting with Ruto, they were called by the Minister of Internal Security who is also Deputy President-elect Kithure Kindiki.

“We were also called by the Minister of Security although some of my colleagues did not attend,” he added.

Keroche said that Kindiki informed them that he never asked them to be neutral but insisted that they needed to decide for themselves if they would vote for or against Gachagua's removal.

He added that Kindiki seemed to suggest that voting against Gachagua's removal could have an effect.

“He confirmed the split and told us that he was not asking us to choose a side, but we needed to do it alone. He added that some decisions would bring results. But everyone had to make their own decision.”

Gachagua is called by the DCI regarding the alleged murder

While this is happening, the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has summoned the ousted Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in relation to alleged attempted murders.

In a letter written on Monday, October 21, DCI it said that Gachagua's claims of an attempt to destroy him were serious, given his status in the community.

The detectives asked Gachagua to come to the DCI headquarters located on the Road Kiambu on Tuesday, October 22, to record information and allow for a quick and thorough investigation into the allegations.
