President William Ruto has arrived in Kwale for the 61st Mashujaa Day celebrations at the Kwale stadium, where he was received by the deputy president-elect Kithur Kindiki.

The event will honor the heroes and heroines who fought for the freedom of Kenya.
Kindiki's presence comes shortly after he was appointed as the next deputy president, following the dismissal of Rigathi Gachagua, who was removed from office for alleged serious violations of the constitution and abuse of office.
This year's Veterans Day has the theme of Affordable Housing, an important project of the administration Kenya First.
The celebrations will highlight the progress of the housing construction program, which has been the mainstay of the President's government Ruto. The event is expected to attract a large number of leaders and celebrities.
