A man has brought tears to netizens after revealing that his wife died after giving birth.

Clifford Tchongwe and Mirriam Muwera married in May in a spectacular ceremony, but five months after the wedding, death struck.

Tchongwe explained that his wife died just 10 days after giving birth to their son. The grieving father announced the sad news with pictures of an ultrasound scan and another of him carrying his baby right after birth.

She talked about how happy they were to be parents, asking for prayers for her and their child.

“We were happy to be parents for the first time in our lives. You saw your baby and breastfed him for 10 days. Please don't tell me it's God's will. Pray for me and my son so that God gives us the strength to overcome this period,” he wrote.

Before her death, Mirriam shared a photo of her husband carrying their child and wrote:

“When the time comes, I the Lord will make it possible. Thank you Lord for my boys.”
