Kenyans Relive Video Of Gachagua Saying Ndegwa Njiru Can Never Represent Him: “You Have Not Reached Kilo”

The video of Gachagua defaming Njiru, one of his 14 senate lawyers, has emerged during the ongoing trial to remove the Vice President from power.

In the clip taken during an old interview with Inooro TV, the lawyer and the politician had a heated confrontation, where Gachagua said that Njiru was not capable of representing him.

“This person cannot represent me. He does not have the necessary qualifications. My lawyer is a senior lawyer, and I can only be represented by lawyers with impeccable qualifications, and this (Njiru) is not the lawyer I need. He may betray you during your case,” said Gachagua, who was then the Member of Parliament for Mathira.

Njiru defended his legal qualifications, insisting that lawyers cannot be traitors during a trial.

“We are not traitors like you, who came to know about betrayal during KANU politics,” he said.

Kenyans have come out jokingly after seeing the clip, three years later Njiru was part of the lawyers trying to save Gachagua from being removed from power.
