The politician, dressed in a black suit, was snapped accompanied by his son, who looked dapper in a matching suit.
The proud father smiled as his son, Kevin Gachagua, walked confidently beside him towards the impeachment hearing.
A video that went viral on TikTok caught Rigathi and Kevin sitting down after arriving at the Senate.
“I want to thank my children, Kevin and Keith, because even when the government agencies came at me with strong force, you did not leave me. My family, I will appreciate you forever for standing by me. And I must say to the people of Kenya: Please take care of yourselves and your families. These are the only people you can count on. Friends betray us. Business partners betray us, but family will not.” Gachagua's voice playing in the video was heard.

Security was strengthened before the trial to remove Rigathi from power
In other news, online videos showed the vice president's entourage arriving at the Parliament Building, accompanied by his legal team, security guards, and supporting lawmakers.
Before arriving in Gachagua, security had been beefed up while Bunge Road is closed before the Senate session of the impeachment case.
The bill against the vice president included charges of unconstitutionality, violation of law, misconduct, and abuse of office.
