- Aziza Tofiki Seleman gave up and stopped the destruction of the only property she had left after her husband abandoned her
- The old woman was left with seven children while her husband married his second wife and the woman's sister
- Residents of Dar es Salaam showed solidarity by standing with the Tanzanian woman, preventing the destruction of her property
One Ajuza, Aziza Tofiki Seleman, was unable to hide her pain as she watched her property being destroyed and did not know what to do.
The woman said that her husband, Mwinjuma Ally Mazige, gave orders to destroy the property.
The decision was made after a bitter dispute between the couple, who had been married for many years.
They had accumulated wealth together over the years, but when their marriage began to falter, the man took matters into his own hands.
Conflict between Aziza and Mwinjuma
It all started when he married another woman and later married his second wife's sister, thus increasing the number of his wives to three.
However, Aziza claimed that the two women persuaded their husband, Mwinjuma, to destroy the wealth they had accumulated with his first wife.
“He has destroyed all our property together, and this was the last house left. He had already sent people to demolish five houses, leaving me and our seven children homeless. Other families are also stuck because the destruction was stopped after we called the authorities,” he cried.
Angry residents of Dar es Salaam showed solidarity with the heartbroken woman, demanding justice for her and their families.
