Why Ruto Shouldn't he forgive Gachagua?

In the video, he pleaded with President William Ruto not to pardon his deputy while congratulating the MPs who supported his removal from office.

“When I heard on the radio that the deputy president had been sacked, I was very happy. I even cooked my chicken and ate it. I want to thank all the MPs who supported the impeachment of Gachagua—don't change, keep it up. I want to remind the president (William Ruto) that we elected you, not Gachagua … Don't forgive him, let him go. When he came Bungomahe talked about one vote, one shilling. He wants to take everything,” explained the man.

Gachagua's impeachment by the National Assembly will now be taken to the Senate, where the final decision on his fate will be made.

Edwin Sifuna opposes the committee to investigate Gachagua

As previously reported, the charges against Gachagua will be debated directly in the Senate after the committee's recommendation failed to pass.

Majority leader in the upper house, Senator of Kericho Aaron Cheruiyot, made a motion suggesting that a committee of 11 members be selected to investigate the charges that led to the indictment of Gachagua.

After the investigation, the committee would give its report to the Senate for discussion by the members before the vote.

Cheruiyot chose his colleague of Nairobi and the leader of the minority, Edwin Sifuna, to support the motion, but Sifuna refused.

Sifuna cited the seriousness of the issue and public scrutiny, suggesting that the select committee would not be able to handle it properly.
