Nairobi – A 39-year-old woman, allegedly defrauded Pasta KSh 700,000 has been brought to court.
The accused Anastachiah Wanjiru Chege is alleged to have obtained the money from the servant of God while insinuating that he has dark powers that could help him pay his debts.
Wanjiru was brought before the Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi.

Court documents analyzed by TUKO.co.ke show that the woman who works as a barmaid received KSh 756,977 through false means from Mark Ndinyo Khamala, a pastor at Grace Community Bible Church in Roasters, along the Thika.

He faces charges of conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by false pretenses.
“…on different dates between September 23, 2023 and January 22, 2024 in Nairobi, Nairobi County, together with others who were not before this court, conspired to defraud Mark Ndinyo Khamala of KSh 756,777 by pretending to be a healer and he had the authority to enable him to settle his financial debt, which you knew was a lie.” read the part of the charge sheet seen by TUKO.co.ke
The accused denied the charges against him and was released on cash bail of KSh 100,000 and a surety of the same amount or a bond of KSh 200,000.
This was despite the government wanting him to be denied bail. It said that he had the ability to escape.
KRA responds to a doctor who provides tax exemption services
Originally TUKO.co.ke reported that a poster circulating on X attracted the attention of the Tax Authority of Kenya.
The poster advertised the services of a self-proclaimed magician who goes by the name Dr Njoroge.
The poster also listed some of the services that Njoroge provides to customers which included tax exemption services.
The picture was interesting KRAand they responded with mockery.
