The Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang'ula criticized the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua by holding a press conference the night before the debate on his removal from power.
What did Wetang'ula say about Gachagua?
Speaking on Tuesday, October 8, Wetang'ula noted that he is aware that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua gave an interview to journalists where he defended himself against the motion to remove him from power.
Wetang'ula argued that Gachagua would refrain from giving interviews to journalists.
“Honorable members, as we begin today's session, allow me to say that I am aware that yesterday, the Deputy President gave an interview to local journalists. The position, if interpreted broadly, also applies to non-members,” Wetang'ula said.
