Why did Onyango's mother oppose the plan to build an underground house

Kevin Onyango built a nice underground house for his family to avoid land disputes, among other reasons, since he was given a small plot of land.

The 30-year-old father of three claimed he saw the beautiful design of his house in a dream and drew it and built it.

“It was not easy to make that dream come true. I went through many challenges before I started building this house. When I talked to my mother, she objected. She said she had never seen a house like that and she tried to stop me from continuing with the plans. However, she added that she cannot stop me from doing what I want. . He wished I had a house, but not like this.” he said.

Onyango raises chickens in his ground house

The house is held together by wood, and there was no evidence of cement being used anywhere in the building.

The video showed that he had enough space to raise chickens and goats.

At first, his wife also did not agree with Onyango's plans, but she could not convince him to change his mind.

“He was afraid because he had never seen such a house, but I assured him that I will make it livable, and if God helps me, I will make it better,” Onyango from Boro Nango village, Butula constituency, Busia county participated.

Onyango's wife said she was surprised after the house was completed but noted several challenges.

“Bringing food here is sometimes a challenge, but we do our best. I didn't like the idea, but later I liked the house,” he added.

The house had a nice flatscreen TV, meaning the family had electricity.
