- Kiambu vegetarian Pauline Waithera, well known for supporting President Ruto, revealed that her life has not improved despite her involvement in the 2022 presidential race

- He appeared to shift his support from Ruto, saying he should resign, and announced his support for Rigathi Gachagua
Pauline Waithera, a Kiambu vegetarian who is known for her strong support of President William Ruto, has announced that she now supports him Rigathi Gachagua.
What did Waithera say about the government?
Speaking on Saturday, October 5, Waithera claimed the country currently lacks effective leadership. He expressed frustration, saying that the government has neglected its people.
Waithera revealed that his life was not good, despite playing a major role in the presidential race William Ruto 2022.
He claimed that the government had promised him KSh 5 million, but he has not yet received it.
“They will not make me afraid. They lied to people that they would give me KSh 5 million, but where is it,” Waithera said.
He added that he is still poor and revealed that his son died this year due to poverty, despite public opinion that he cooperates with the government.
“I am still a tenant, I am still poor. My child died from poverty. Where are they? Where are they now,” Waithera said.
What did Waithera say about the dismissal of Gachagua?
Addressing the ongoing efforts to impeach Gachagua, he expressed his opposition to the motion.
He said if Gachagua is removed from office, then his boss, Ruto, should lead by going home first.
“I will not allow Gachagua to go home. Ruto should be removed from office first,” Waithera said.
Waithera further expressed his frustration at seeing people attack the deputy president. He added, however, that Gachagua should use the proposed motion to oust him as an independent campaign for the 2027 general election.
Waithera claims politicians stopped him
Earlier, Waithera claimed that the politicians who used their power in the 2022 election campaign sidelined him.
He was a grocer, and Ruto used him to explain his election agenda, which was centered on the common man.
Apart from being endorsed by Ruto and the IEBC, the woman accompanied the president to town hall meetings in Kiambu before voting to sell the bottom-up agenda.
Furthermore, Waithera clarified that no one from the government investigated her as they did during the campaign, revealing that only Kiambu women's representative Anne Wamuratha took the initiative to call her.
