One woman citizen of Kenya who lives in Lebanon has confirmed his safety after moving from the city where Israeli forces launched airstrikes.
The TikToker, Empress, said the family she works for had to move to safer areas even though they could still hear the plane heading towards the city.
He said that one of his friends died in the bomb attack, because they did not escape early to save their lives.
“I'm tired of pretending that I'm strong. I am very hurt because I always hear the sounds of war when I am alone,” he said with tears in his eyes.
“My friend is dead because they didn't act as fast as we did. They didn't move early enough because when we left the area was bombed and destroyed everything and everyone,” The empress added.
He wondered how the family would receive the news that their relatives who had traveled to find greener pastures were no longer there.
A Kenyan living in Lebanon wants to be returned to the country
The tearful woman noted that her main request is to return to Kenya despite the small possibility considering the current situation in Lebanon.
He also expressed fear of uncertainty, adding that despite moving from the city, he was not sure how the event would turn out.
“We all live for God. My request is to get a chance to return home. I spoke to the rescue group, and they told me I needed $800 to be sent back to Kenya. So, where am I going to get that kind of money?” he asked.

“I am afraid; I feel a lot of pain; I'm tired of pretending that everything is fine. I have been crying even though I know it will not solve anything,” he said.
The distraught woman urged other Kenyans living in Lebanon to tell their bosses to move to safer places.
The government urges Kenyans in Lebanon to register to be repatriated
In separate news from TUKO.co.ke, the Government's Department of Diaspora Affairs called on Kenyans in Lebanon to register for immediate relocation.
However, the Kenyan government expressed its dismay that despite repeated reminders, those affected have not yet registered, even as the situation in Lebanon worsens.
The State Department has said it has succeeded in eliminating two groups and is committed to continuing those efforts until all citizens are safe.
