Michelle Cheptoo, who to luck bad died on the morning of Saturday, September 28, he was buried at his home in the village.

Family, friends and schoolmates attended the ceremony as they gave the boy a proper burial.

Before the burial, a memorial service was held at Sironga Girls High School before the body of the deceased was taken home.

“Memorial service for Mitchell Cheptoo, candidate for Certificate of Secondary Education Kenya (KCSE), held at Sironga National School for Girls after he tragically died by jumping from his dormitory,” the post read.

During the funeral in Saptet village, Kimulot ward, Konoin, county of Bometcries flowed as the 17-year-old girl was buried.

Many showed up for the event to stand with the grieving family while keeping the young man's spirit strong.

Kenyans comfort the Cheptoo family

Social media users took to the comments section to express their condolences as they showed solidarity in standing with those who were hurt in their down time.

A student of Friends School Kamusinga drowned

In another report, a second form student at Friends School Kamusinga Boys drowned in a sewage tank on Sunday, September 15.

The school administration said the student died at Life Care Hospital, where he was rushed for treatment.

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Education has already initiated an investigation into the tragic incident.
