A Kenyan woman living in Lebanon has confirmed her safety after moving from a town where Israeli forces carried out an aerial attack.
Empress, who is famous in TikToksaid the family he works with moved to safer areas even though they still heard planes heading towards the city.
He said that one of his friends died in the attack, as they could not move early to save their lives.
“I am tired of pretending that I am strong. I have experienced a lot of stress because I often hear the sounds of war when I am alone,” she explained with tears.
“My friend is dead because they didn't take quick action like we did. They didn't move early enough because when we left, the area was bombed, destroying everything and everyone,” The empress added.
He wondered how the family would receive the news that their loved one, who had traveled in search of a better life, was no longer alive.
The Kenyan living in Lebanon wants to return to the country
The tearful woman said that her main prayer is to return Kenya despite the limited space due to the current situation in Lebanon.
He also expressed fear about the uncertain situation, adding that despite moving away from the city, he was not sure how things would turn out.
“We leave everything to God. My prayer is to get a chance to return home. I spoke to the rescue team, and they said I need $800 to go back to Kenya. Now, where will I get that amount of money?” he asked.
“I am afraid; I feel a lot of pain; I'm tired of pretending everything is fine. I've been crying even though I know tears can't help me,” he said.
The grieving woman urged other Kenyans living in Lebanon to tell their employers to move to safer places.
The government urges Kenyans in Lebanon to register so that they can receive rescue assistance
In earlier TUKO.co.ke news, the Department of Diaspora urged Kenyans in Lebanon to register for immediate assistance to return home.
However, the Kenyan government expressed its regret that despite repeated reminders, those affected have not yet registered, even though the situation in Lebanon is getting worse.
The department said it has managed to rescue two groups and promises to continue those efforts until all citizens are safe.
