Morara Speaks after the Attack on Bomas at the Meeting: “Still Struggle!”

The controversial activist Morara Kebaso has finally spoken about the attack he received on Friday, October 4, during the public participation for the proposal to remove him Rigathi Gachagua in power.

Why was Morara attacked?

It is reported that Morara went to Bomas and asked for a microphone to address the participants of the public participation session but was denied.

However, shortly after, Riots occurred when unknown people they started throwing chairs towards Morara, who was seen sitting calmly while those around him tried to protect him.

Event organizers could be heard advising Morara not to disrupt the public participation session. Sometimes, they encouraged the citizens to maintain calm.

“We will not allow you to disrupt this meeting. Everyone has an opinion,” one event organizer was heard saying.

Morara was then seen seeking refuge in a corner of the building before being quickly removed to his safety.

What did Morara say about the meeting?

The activist used his X account to tell his side of the story, saying he faced challenges entering the Bomas of Kenya because he was denied permission to speak.

However, after a while he was allowed inside.

Speaking about the attack, he said it started shortly after he was denied the opportunity to address the participants.

He said he was hurt and was on his way to the hospital for treatment.

“I was prevented from entering Bomas at the gate. When I managed to enter, I was denied the microphone in the hall of Bomas. Riots broke out. I am hurt. I am going to the hospital. I will live to speak another day,” read Morara's statement.
