Grow up – Police in Makueni have launched an investigation following the horrific murder of a middle-aged man and his relatives.

Citizen Digital reported that he allegedly killed his brother in Malivini village, Makindu, after a disagreement over unknown reasons.

What did the area chief say about the hacking incident?

The local chief Rosemary Kathuku revealed that the family had returned from the mortuary, where they looked at the body of their deceased brother.

During the funeral preparations, tension arose between the two brothers, and the situation turned violent.

Witnesses of the incident noted that a heated argument led to violence and caused the suspect to allegedly attack his brother with a sword.

The reason for the attack is still unknown.

The police were called and arrested the suspect while the body of the deceased was taken to the Makindu Hospital mortuary while the funeral of another brother continued.

In a similar case, a man in Teso North, Busia county, allegedly stabbed his brother to death during his relative's funeral.

It is alleged that the two brothers fought after they disagreed about who would carry the liver at their relative's funeral.

The man got angry during the argument and made him stab his brother in the stomach and kill him instantly.

The suspect ran and hid in the nearby sugar fields armed with a machete and threatened anyone who approached him.

Later, angry villagers launched a manhunt, sweeping the farm until they found him on the night of Monday, May 13.

The enraged residents pulled him out of his hiding place and attacked him with knives and blunt objects until he died from his injuries.
