Lilian Biwott allegedly killed her husband, Victor Kipchumba, a matatu driver, on October 9, 2023, after reportedly trying to take his AK-47 rifle by force.

Biwott said that he was informed by the nanny at his home that Kipchumba was planning to kill their four children, an allegation that he strongly defended in court.

According to a report by Mwananchi Digital, she described her husband as abusive and violent, often abusing him in front of their children.

What events made Lilian Biwott kill her husband?

He is currently being detained at the Eldoret GK Remand Prison, Biwott recounted receiving a call from her husband before the incident.

When he got home and entered their room, he found Kipchumba with a knife. He became aggressive and started attacking her.

They fought for about an hour before he shot him. Biwott claimed that if he had not acted quickly, Kipchumba would have killed him. After discovering her husband was dead, she knelt down and begged for forgiveness.

Judge Nyakundi has scheduled the case to continue on October 9, when the prosecution is expected to close its case.
