A total of 291 MPs signed in support of the motion, which mentions promoting tribalism through its call for the unity of Mount Kenya, abuse of office and threats to the President William Rutoamong other charges.
Who will be the Deputy President after Gachagua is fired?
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi, who is a strong supporter of impeachment, insisted that the president would choose a successor from the region Mount Kenya.
He claimed that the issue of the region belongs to the deputy president, stressing that the government has no problem with the residents of the region.
“There is no doubt that 'murima' is the essence of this government. There is no dispute with many leaders from the mountain, except for one bad behavior. Even his replacement will definitely come from the mountain. Sure bet,” he said.

“It is not necessary for us to be in government. You can choose someone from Turkana, West Pokot or any other region to be deputy after being impeached.”
George Waweru commented:
“Sincere thanks to the Members of Parliament who stood firm with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua during the impeachment trial yesterday. Your unwavering support will forever be etched in the hearts of the residents of Pain and a large area of Mount Kenya.”
Kipz Chelule saw:
“Yours is very personal and Kenyans know it. May God stand by our DP.”
Hussein Barow said:
“Let the vice president finish his term and stick to your … politics. The only thing … I understand is destruction, and that's exactly what you're trying to do to the government he fought for.”
James Thiongo replied:
“The people of Mount Kenya are behind RG but there is life after being removed from power, it is better to be in the opposition with respect than in the government and harm.”
How did Gachagua praise Ndindi Nyoro?
At the same time, the deputy president praised Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and revealed their deep secrets.
Gachagua has described Nyoro as a respectable and intelligent leader by refraining from insulting politics during the discussions to fire him.
He also revealed that Nyoro gave him asylum when the administration of former president Uhuru Kenyatta wanted to arrest him.
