Eric Omondi Plans to Celebrate the Parallel Heroes' Day to Honor Those Killed in the Protests

  • He asked for suggestions for a suitable venue to facilitate quick booking ahead of the event scheduled for October 12

A comedian Eric Omondiwho supported Gen Zs during the anti-government protests, has decided to honor those who lost their lives during the protests.

During the demonstration, more than 20 young people of Kenya innocent people were killed by anti-riot police according to KNCHR report.

He believes it is important to honor these people as heroes who sacrificed their lives for good governance in the country.

However, the comedian did not mention the location of the incident. He asked Kenyans to suggest suitable places for them to get a chance before the end of Wednesday, October 20.

“It's official! We are going to organize a big event parallel to Masujaja Day on October 20 to honor our heroes who lost their lives during the protests. Please suggest a suitable venue for us to book today. The parents and families of the heroes will sit on the main stage as our chief guests,” he said.

A high-ranking police officer who lost his wrists during the protest speaks out

At the same time, Chief Inspector David Maina who lost his arm after a tear gas was fired at him has narrated the horrific incident.

Maina said he could not explain what happened as he has been using the grenade since he was in training. He admitted to seeing darkness when the accident happened.

The officer continued to say that his mission was to disperse the protestors with a loud burst of grenades and not to cause any harm to the young people who were protesting.
