One family in the city Kiambu is looking for their 21-year-old daughter, Ann Waithera, who has been missing for a week now.
Waithera, is a student of Nairobi Institute of Technology Business Studies (NIBS), in Ruiru.
His mother, Maryanne Waithera said TUKO.co.ke that efforts to find him have been in vain as his phone has been switched off.
“Ann lives near the school NIBS in Ruiru, so it is difficult to know the exact date of his disappearance,” he said.
A NIBS College student and his friends go missing
He also said he may have some of his friends as their phones were switched off.
“His three close friends have also turned off their phones; I think they belong together; others say they saw him a week ago,” the distraught mother added.
Following his disappearance, the family searches for information about his whereabouts.
Family reunites with daughter who has been missing for 3 months
Elsewhere, a family from Kiambu expressed their relief after being reunited with their relative who disappeared three months later.
Ivy Wanja disappeared under mysterious circumstances in June, leaving her family worried about her whereabouts.
His father told how he thought about taking his own life due to hard times when he disappeared.
For luck Wanja was rescued by a church that placed him in an orphanage in Kiambu County while they were looking for his parents.
