Lucy Wambui Mathenge was allegedly attacked by her husband, David Njoroge, after a fierce fight in their flat.

Her husband Wambui stabbed her, leaving her with such serious injuries that the neighbors' efforts to rush her to the hospital to save her life proved futile.

According to Peter Ndegwaa medical officer at the Kitengela sub-county hospital mortuary, Wambui died due to internal bleeding.

“The internal organs, including the heart, were badly injured as a result of the attack, and the deceased lost a lot of blood, he could not be saved due to the severity of the attack which resulted in death,” he said.

Neighbors in Kitengela area of Kajiado county tried to catch the suspect but their efforts were in vain as he escaped.

However, Isinya sub-county police commander Patrick Manyasi noted that investigations are already underway, including the search for the suspect.
