He said that he will agree to return home if a group of MPs Kenya First that wants to remove him will succeed.

“My request to the people of Mount Kenya is to remain united. I don't have to lead them; any leader can lead them. However, in order to thrive and maintain presence in the government for years to come, you must remain united,” added Gachagua.

The grieving leader claimed that the only reason some Kenya First MPs are seeking to remove him is his frequent calls to encourage unity within the mountainous region.

He emphasized that without unity, the region will lose its strength, influence, and power, a situation that will lead to a halt in economic and political development.

“If I am removed, it will open the way to divide them, and the people of Mt. Kenya will face a big problem because that is what they want and the reason why they want me to be charged. I ask you to stay together because if they succeed, they will have fulfilled their plan to divide this area, leaving us powerless , influence, or power. Our politics and our development will stop. Even if another leader comes, don't let Mlima Kenya be divided.” he said.
