Under what conditions should Gachagua be charged?

Kalonzo said that if MPs aim to impeach the country's Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua, they should also impeach his boss, William Ruto.

“Let me be clear: if they bring a motion to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in parliament, they should also bring one against William Ruto,” he said.

He claimed that if they do not file charges against Ruto, then their actions are an attempt to deceive Kenyans from the real issues.

Kalonzo announces his support for Gachagua

In a separate event, party leaders Declaration of Unity One Kenya Coalition vowed to support Gachagua, who is facing threats of prosecution.

During the memorial service for Hillside Endarasha Academy fire victims, Azimio leaders, led by Kalonzo, promised to stand with Gachagua.

The leader of the Wiper party said it is the right time for Kenyans to remain united and avoid falling prey to people who plan to divide the country by suing Gachagua.
