Uasin Gishu: Young Athlete Determined to Die After Completing the 3000 Meter Race

Uasin Gishu – Tragedy has struck the athletes again after one of them, Joseph Hussein Njagi, fainted and died shortly after completing the 3,000 meter race.

Njagi was participating in the scholarship trials at the Kipchoge Keino Stadium, organized with the aim of identifying talented athletes for further development.

According to the police report, the 20-year-old athlete completed the race at noon but collapsed at the finish line.

Citizen Digital's report stated that the athletic officials who were present took quick action and rushed him to the Uasin Gishu District Hospital trying to save his life.

For luck Unfortunately, when he arrived at the hospital, the promising athlete was pronounced dead by the doctors.

Police officers from the Police Station of Eldoret they were informed and arrived at the hospital shortly after the incident.

The athlete's body sand was transferred to the mortuary of the Moi Referral and Teaching Hospital, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of his death.
