What Gachagua said about the charges against his associates

On Thursday, September 26, the DCI recommended several charges against Embakasi North MPs James Gakuya and Embakasi Central Benjamin Gathiru Major Mr.

In a statement, Gachagua said that using the criminal justice system to manage politics is an outdated political strategy used in the past.

Gachagua said he was embarrassed that despite he and President William Ruto promising not to use criminal systems to settle political scores, they have returned under Kenya's Kwazna administration.

“I am ashamed that we have returned to where we were. The harassment of my office staff and MPs, who are considered close to me, has been going on for the past two months,” Gachagua said.

Is Rigathi Gachagua a target?

According to Gachagua, indicting his accomplices, including three employees, was one of the ways to prepare the ground for his dismissal.

“This evil plan is to associate them with the violent protests that took place at the end of June, in a futile attempt to tarnish my name and hopefully create grounds for a case to be prosecuted against me,” he demanded.

The second leader excluded his allies from the anti-government protests, saying that even Kenyans know what the real problem is in the country.

“Whoakenya they are very intelligent people. They know what things have made Kenyans take to the streets. Kenyans also know what the real problems of Kenya are. Surely they know that Rigathi Gachagua is not among them. Let our institutions remain professional, follow the rule of law and abandon politics,” he added.
