Rigathi Gachagua: Suffering is increasing as the motion to discuss his movements is presented to the Senate

Nairobi Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana has submitted a request to analyze the behavior of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

According to the notice of motion read by TUKO.co.ke, Mungatana claimed that Gachagua has a constitutional duty to respect the leadership and principles of integrity for government officials.

“Article 260 of the constitution establishes the vice president as a public officer whose conduct and conduct shall comply with the provisions of Article 75 of the Constitution of Kenya and principles of leadership and integrity for government officials contained in the Law of Leadership and Integrity,” the motion is partially readable.

Why does Mungatana want Gachagua's conduct to be discussed

Among the reasons for condemning Gachagua's argument include making statements related to employment and resource allocation, incitement, isolating some Kenyans and increasing tensions among different ethnic communities in Kenya.

The senator of Tana River He claimed that Gachagua has made statements that continue to create tensions and divisions among Kenyans since he assumed office.

“The public statements made by Rigathi have alienated some Kenyans, have created and continue to increase anxiety among different ethnic groups in Kenya,” he said in that argument.

Mungatana claimed that the incidents mentioned above are misconduct and a violation of the provisions of Article 75 of the Constitution of Kenya, thus degrading the office he holds.

“The Senate, in accordance with Standing Order 101 Section 1, expresses its displeasure and disappointment with the behavior of Hon. Rigathi Gachagua as the Deputy President of Kenya and therefore we need to condemn him,” he added.

Meanwhile, the deputy president warned President William Ruto against entertaining his plans to be removed from power.

Speaking at a church service at the Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa (PEFA) Church in the city ThikaSunday, September 22, Gachagua asked Ruto to keep his house in a calm state amid divisions in the UDA party.

Gachagua told Ruto to avoid the politics of betrayal and fulfill his promise to ensure that his deputy will not be humiliated, adding that if he cannot fulfill that promise, then he will not be trusted to fulfill any other promise.
