President William Ruto he has visited the Kenyan soldiers sent to Haiti for a peacekeeping mission before his trip to the United States.
In his visit to United Statesthe president will congratulate the police for their progress since the operation began 100 days ago.
The visit to Haiti follows the recent arrest of two gang leaders linked to Chen Mechan and Pierre's six gangs.
During the meeting, the president led a victory song to celebrate the cooperative efforts of Kenya Police in fighting the ongoing violence of the gangs.
“Emmanuel has given us victory… Emmanuel has treated us… We will get victory,” the president and the police sang happily.
How did William Ruto pray for Haiti?
After the praise song, the head of state offered a heartfelt prayer to the officers. He recognized their families in the country Kenya and pray for their safety.
Furthermore, he prayed for divine protection for Haiti, pleading with God to protect the nation from evil and witchcraft.
“We pray to the heavenly father of this country of Haiti, men, women, children and the government. As we participate in a small amount, we pray for you, the author of peace, to bring peace to this country and they will defeat evil people, criminals and gangs.
When the Kenyan police and other men work for the peace of this country, you will give them success, wisdom, fire to win. We want to pray against the witchcraft and idolatry that has strangled this land that you free Haiti from the hands of the enemy and make it a nation of peace,” he asked.
The request followed police confessions about their positive results in the mission.
Are the Kenyan police successful in their mission in Haiti?
The officers, along with their Haitian counterparts, recaptured the Autorité Portuaire Nationale (APN), a key port in the capital, Port-au-Prince, following a fierce battle with ongoing gangs.
About a week ago, Kenyan and Haitian police, in a joint effort, arrested two gang leaders from Chen Mechan and Pierre six gangs.
Several cities have witnessed human activity which was not the case.
