Speakers at his funeral, including relatives, insulted him in public, contrary to what is customary where the deceased is showered with praise by their loved ones.

Videos of the funeral have spread on the internet Tiktok and other social networks, raising questions about why his relatives demonized him in front of mourners.

“When we hung up, I called my daughter who told me she was at her sister's house in Gwasi. I tried to reason with him as a parent, but he hung up. My efforts to bring him home were unsuccessful,” he said.

He apologized to the people of Kadem for Achieng's behavior and asked them not to destroy the friendship between the two families.

In addition, the mother said that every child is different, and her daughter was a very good girl when she grew up, but the devil tried to make sure she was bad.

“My daughter was born and grew up as a good girl and then she developed bad behavior. This must have been the work of the devil,” he said.

According to one of the brothers, the deceased had a hard head and could not take advice.

“Whenever you tried to advise him, Achieng' would see you as an enemy; he was very stubborn,” he said.

Adding to the drama, another video emerged of several men doing a violent man, causing the party to stop for a while.

Some have cursed the relatives while others have praised them for being honest as many still wonder who the deceased was.

One of the people who responded is the Member of Parliament for Suba North, Millie Odhiambo, who condemned the events of the funeral, noting that it was unfair to the deceased, who could not defend himself.

“I have never met her, and I do not know her. She was not at peace in life; she has not been allowed to rest in peace in death. We hear everyone but Achieng's side of the story. What made a woman abandon her children and vow only to return to that house in a coffin?” The MP posed.

Kay Millan also asked:

“What kind of sin did Achieng commit that has followed him to his grave?”

Zakayo Olik:

“Why is no one talking about why Achieng' left her husband's house?”
