Nairobi – Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has asked President William Ruto to intervene and restore stability within the Kenya First administration.
The vice president expressed his concern over the increase in political fighting that has put the country in an unnecessary election situation.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Friday, September 20, Gachagua expressed his frustrations about the current political situation, with various factions in the ruling coalition engaged in fierce debates about his removal from power and internal attacks.

“It is sad that the country has been put in an election situation, people are only talking about politics; accusing someone and someone, how and that is useless, some people call others snakes. There are all kinds of things going on.” Gachagua said.
The Deputy President wanted him Ruto to take concrete measures to reduce the growing political tensions.
According to Gachagua, the political conflict is hindering the work that should be done to face the challenges facing the country.
“It is true that it is up to the President of the Republic Kenya who is also the leader of our party to put his affairs in order, I have spoken to the President several times and asked him to call his house in an orderly manner, how should people meet. at this time to discuss how to sue the deputy president when the country needs a lot of work to be done for Kenyans?” The vice president said.

The Deputy President asked Ruto to call a meeting of the Parliamentary Group (PG) to deal with the rising political temperature and end the hostility.

“He can call PG and lower the political temperature; tell the MPs to stop attacking each other, ask those who accompany him and insult the Deputy President to stop… because if he told them to stop, they would stop. Stop these night meetings, in fact, he is the one to provide leadership so that the country can return at work,” Gachagua added.
Gachagua made it clear that he is not directly responsible for the political crisis but noted that he and his supporters are forced to respond to attacks against him.
“I have no responsibility because my team responds to what is happening. We are also politicians, and when there are attacks against the DP, he also has his people who support him,” Gachagua said.
How Mt Kenya politicians started a conspiracy against Gachagua
In recent weeks, the area of Mount Kenya which has been heavily criticized politically, which Gachagua called himself its main leader, has been busy, with obstacles emerging against him.
It started with some 48 members of parliament who gathered to follow the Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Interior Kithure Kindiki as the regional leader, followed by more than 300 ward representatives who also announced their support for Kindiki, and then more than 2,000 of the Council of Elders Meru Njuri. He laughs as he follows in his footsteps.
In the middle of the political movement, reports emerged that the motion for the establishment of Gachagua is already in the parliamentary grounds and will be presented soon.
