In a heartbreaking case, Robinson Theuri, a 6th grade student, has been confirmed as one of the 21 victims who died in the fire that broke out at Hillside Endarasha Academy.

His family's worst fears came true after days of frantic searching and appealing to anyone with information on his whereabouts.

Robinson's mother, Angeline Wambui, shared the sad news with TUKO.co.ke.

He expressed his grief and confusion over the death of his son in such a situation.

Wambui he had hope that his son was alive after reports emerged that the 11-year-old survived being removed from the burning dormitory.

Wambui mentioned that a friend saw Robinson being directed to a safe area to avoid the fire, where students were covered with blankets to protect themselves from the cold.

However, after that time, he was not seen again.

Robinson's mother had pleaded with anyone with information to contact the family, but her hopes were dashed when it was confirmed she had died.

This tragic development has left Robinson's family in shock as they were holding out hope that the young man would be found alive.

A total of 156 boys were sleeping in the dormitory when the tragedy occurred.

Despite efforts to save as many students as possible, 21 did not survive, including Robinson.

Schools, families, and communities continue to be saddened by the loss of many young lives, and questions about the cause of the fire and rescue procedures are still ongoing.
