Nairobi: Bodyguard of Embakasi West Member of Parliament Mark Mwenje Found Dead

How MP Mark Mwenje's bodyguard died

Identified as Constable Austin Owiti, the officer reportedly injured himself with his gun on Thursday morning, September 19.

The 43-year-old's colleagues said he had never shown signs of depression.

Mwenje, saddened by the incident, said an investigation has already been initiated.

“It's unfortunate this happened, and we're investigating the same,” he said.

The deceased had spent Wednesday morning on vacation with his friends before leaving for his home, where he met his death.

A Lang'ata Police Station soldier is found dead

The officer's body was found in a pool of blood on the side of the road on the outskirts of the city.

The body was discovered by two security guards at Ngei Phase II along Kitengela Lane.

The deceased has been identified as Corporal Mark Ayabei, of the Lang'ata Police Station.

An initial examination showed stab wounds to the chest.

Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) officers associated with Lang'ata rushed to the scene to deal with and try to figure out what happened.

Elsewhere, the body of an officer was found in the mortuary of the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Professional and Referral Hospital while the search for him was completed.

David Kimosop had disappeared.

The 55-year-old man disappeared in February this year under mysterious circumstances.

His son revealed that his father's decomposing body was found in the Kisumu river before it was taken to the mortuary.
