Bungoma – A heartbroken mother who lost her son at the weekend has told a harrowing account of the events that led to his death.

John-Mark Ombok died on Sunday, September 15, at Friends School Kamusinga, leaving his family badly affected by the news.

How did John-Mark Ombok fall into the sewage tank?

His mother, Jecinta Ndiege, painfully recalled her son's last moments as she demanded justice following the loss.

The family denied claims that their son killed himself by throwing himself into a sewage tank, as per earlier reports.

“One of his fellow students said there were many people in the queue to use the toilet so they took a little time, after taking a long time the teacher started chasing them with a stick so they started running. of them, it went down and slid into the open sewer,” he told Citizen TV Kenya.

The school should be held accountable, Ndiege says

The boy's grieving family blamed the school administration for their negligence after the death of the second-form student.

“The school should come forward and admit that they didn't do their due diligence by living with children in the school with a septic tank that is left wide open without a cover,” mother of Siaya he said.
