The Member of Parliament said that Gachagua has never used his opportunities at indigenous language centers to explain the government's agenda.

He was able to compare Gachagua with Ruto during the popularity of his deputy presidency and said that Ruto struggled to explain to the people what the government was doing every time he was interviewed by the national media.

“When William Ruto was Deputy President, we saw him in the national media explaining government policies, defending and informing Kenyans about what the government was doing. Now we have a Deputy President who has never issued a single statement to the national media to explain, defend , or inform Kenyans about any government policy or project,” said Ichung'wah.

He likened Gachagua to a snake that is clinging to the hands of the president, and that should be beaten because he is blocking the development agenda.

He has repeatedly identified himself with ordinary Kenyans whose interests he claims to represent.

At least 35 MPs attended the meeting, while 13 MPs sent their apologies but had the same opinion.
