Why the video of Mike Sonko and Karen Nyamu is trending?

On Saturday, September 14, Sonko and Nyamu were among hundreds of people celebrating Prawn Night at Carnivore restaurant in the city Nairobi.

The two politicians were seen dancing and enjoying the night, which made people happy on the internet.

Nyamu stood on the chair as he danced hard to various songs, and Sonko, who was standing next to him, also seemed to enjoy it.

Responding to the video, some netizens claimed that the politician touched Nyamu's hips while he was dancing.

Responding to allegations that he grabbed the senator-elect's hips, Sonko asked if it was wrong for a man to lust after a woman.

“I saw this clip circulating on the internet. Let me ask you, what is the problem with looking with the eyes?” he wrote in X.

One of the netizens commented asking if he is not afraid Samidohthe father of Nyamu's child, and Sonko said:

“Samidoh is my good friend.”
