A Missing MKU University Student Was Found Hospitalized

  • Lilian Gati Robi, a third year nursing student from Mount Kenya University went missing on September 10 after leaving her home in Migori for Nairobi, she has been found at Taita Taveta Hospital
  • Her father, Michael Robi, said he last spoke to her the day she disappeared. He was last seen at the National Archives in Nairobi
  • Taita Taveta Police Commander John Ndichu confirmed that Lilian was brought to the hospital by good citizens and although she is not in good health, she is being cared for while the investigation into her disappearance continues

Lilian Gati Robi left home on Tuesday, September 10, taking the bus Ena Coach from Migori county towards Nairobi.

He was returning to Mount University Kenya (MKU) after the semester break when he disappeared.

Her father, Michael Robi, said he spoke to his daughter for the last time that day and her phone went dead later that evening.

“I was told that he was last seen in the National Archives, where he took out his SIM card and beads in his hair,” he said.

According to a new report, Gati, a third year nursing student at MKU-Thika, has been admitted to the Taita-Taveta county hospital.

Taita-Taveta Sub-County Police Commander John Ndichu said the 20-year-old was brought to the hospital by good people.

“He is being treated at the hospital, his condition is not good, but we will investigate what happened to find the truth,” he said.

The investigation has already begun to determine what happened and who the perpetrators are.
