A die-hard fan of Gor MahiaJared Obonyo, popularly known as Jaro Soja, is making headlines for his lavish traditional wedding.

Jaro tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend in a lovely ceremony held at his home in Kanyamwa, Ndhiwa, County Fever Bay.

How did Jaro Soja pay the dowry?

According to traditional Wajaro customs, Jaro traveled to his in-laws' house to pay the bride price.

The incident, captured on video by Jarunda Mambobiad, showed Jaro and his supporters' unique approach—they used a ferry to cross from the County of Siaya to Homa Bay.

The dowry included more than 20 cows and a caravan of luxury cars.

Jaro was warmly welcomed and treated with great respect by his in-laws, marking a successful and harmonious union.

This grand celebration was not Jaro's first extravagant celebration. In July 2016, she had another traditional wedding that also stood out for her grandeur, with a green theme.

Jaro Soja crying in pain at his mother's funeral

As we previously reported, Jaro shed tears while saying goodbye to his mother on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

His mother passed away weeks before the funeral after falling at their home in Gem, Siaya county.

He had shared a video of his last moments on social media, hoping to get help from well-wishers.

However, instead of receiving sympathy, he received a lot of criticism and blame from netizens who accused him of not caring about his mother and exploiting her for views, likes and clicks on social networks.

He said he had done everything he could to take care of her and make her happy.
