Endarasha Fire Tragedy: Another Family Shows Up To Claim Their Boy, They Don't Know Where He Is

Two families of Kenya are in trouble as an orphan who was under care went missing when the dormitory of the Hillside Endarasha Academy school in Nyeri county was burnt down.

What happened to Travis Kariuki?

Talking to TUKO.co.kehis aunt Anne, who is abroad, explained that she saw news of the fire on Facebook and immediately contacted her father and brother in Kenya.

“When they arrived at the school, they realized that Travis Kariuki came out of the burning building with his friend, but when they got outside the gate, the student realized that the seventh grader was nowhere to be found. this day,” said Anne.

According to Anne, the 13-year-old boy appeared to be an orphan; revealed that he lost his mother when he was in Second Grade

“As a family, we are in a difficult situation. He lives with his father's aunt and has raised him as his son; he calls his mother despite knowing that he is not his biological father,” Anne said.

Did Anne's family get information from the government?

When TUKO.co.ke wanted to find out if they had looked among the children who sadly lost their lives, Anne revealed that her relatives did not find her body there.

He also said that they had not heard anything from the government or Hillside Endarasha College.

The family is now calling on Kenyans to open their eyes and report to them or the nearest police station if they find the boy.

Anger while the DCI claims that no student is missing

At the same time, Kenyans expressed dissatisfaction with the statement of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation saying that no student was missing after the fire at Hillside Endarasha College.

DCI issued a statement to count all the boys who were in Hillside Endarasha Academy school at the time of the fire.

They further reported that the school originally housed 164 boarding boys, but eight did not return when the school opened.
