What? how many students were in Endarasha's dormitory?

On Wednesday, September 11, the Department of Criminal Investigation released a status report on the investigation into the fire incident.

DCI revealed that the burning dormitory housed 156 students at the time of the fire, which resulted in the deaths of 21 students.

Responding to the DCI's statement, Karua questioned the Ministry of Education's guidelines regarding the safety of students, considering the large number of students housed in the dormitory.

Why Martha Karua is not convinced by the investigation

Karua said three important questions, including the whereabouts of the matron or teacher on duty at the time of the fire, should have been answered on the first day of the incident.

According to Karua, some people should have already been arrested as a result of the fire unless there was a cover-up by the authorities.

“Not entirely satisfactory, what were the ministry's guidelines for student safety and were they followed? Where was the guard, matron, or teacher on duty? Were the students locked in to prevent escape after the disaster? These simple questions should have been asked on the first day by the heads, “ Karua said.
