In his statement on Wednesday, September 11, ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna confirmed that the party's Central Committee has decided to allow Raila to fully commit to his bid for the AUC chairmanship.

The veteran politician will rely on the county leader to manage the affairs of the party in his absence.
