Why is Murkomen blamed for the flight workers' strike?

Speaking at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Wednesday, September 11, Atwoli accused government officials of refusing to listen to workers' concerns about the Adani plan.

Atwoli claimed Murkomen refused to meet with the airline staff and explain to them the contents of the controversial agreement between Adani and the government.

According to Atwoli, if Murkomen had answered his calls, the current situation would have been avoided.

“I called the previous CS of Roads and Transport, Murkomen, with the intention of trying to educate and advise him to meet the workers and explain the Adani issue to them. Our ministers are…; they do not receive calls except from businessmen and employers. This is what brought all this ,” Atwoli said.
