Member of Parliament for Embakasi East Grandpa Owino was accused of allegedly shooting Evolve in early 2020 at a club in Nairobi where they were all having fun and enjoying life.
Evolve managed to miraculously survive death and since then he has been bedridden and undergoing treatment.

A new clip showed Evolve's progress as he moved around in a wheelchair and even spoke out loud.
The entertainer met content producer Brian Muchiri, who lives with physical disabilities after being involved in an accident.
Muchiri and Evolve spoke in the video, and Kenyans were happy that he had regained his speech.
As he turned around in his chair, he said he thanked God for his progress.
“It's nice to meet you all, I'm very grateful. We had a great afternoon together,” Evolve said.
Muchiri noted that the meeting was to celebrate Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.

Why Babu Owino was acquitted in the DJ Evolve case
The Member of Parliament for Embakasi East was acquitted of disorderly conduct while handling a firearm in August 2023.
Senior Chief Justice Bernard Ochoi acquitted Babu on the grounds that the prosecution failed to prove the case against him.
Ochoi was particular that the investigation was flawed, making the prosecution's case weak.
