The Nigerian oil truck accident happened on which road

The accident on Sunday, September 8 occurred after an oil trailer exploded after colliding with a truck on the Lapai-Agaie Road, about 2 kilometers from Dendo community.

According to the Government's Emergency Management Agency, the fuel trailer collided head-on with a truck transporting passengers suspected of being cattle traders.

The officials said several other vehicles, including a crane and a truck, were also involved in the fatal accident.

The reports of those who witnessed the accident said that the collision was very big and caused a huge explosion of fire.

Eyewitnesses said the fire spread rapidly to nearby buildings, causing damage to affected properties and leaving trails of destruction.

The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago, expressed his sorrow over the loss of 48 people and an unknown number of cattle in the explosion of the trailer.

Officials said many of the victims were burned beyond recognition, making it difficult to properly identify them.

More than 50 cows were also burned beyond recognition following the accident.
