Gospel singer Edith Waitimu has opened up about the difficult time she went through after the cancellation of her wedding in January 2023.
Wairimu, who has become famous in the gospel industry Kikuyu since 2020 when he became famous, he explained that he was depressed after his wedding was canceled last year.
In an interview with Jeff Kuria on YouTube, the singer, without disclosing the nature of the wedding cancellation, revealed that she stayed inside from January to October 2023, describing that time as a dark season in her life.
“I was in the process of getting married, but my wedding was closed on January 13, 2023. It was a dark season in my life, I could not leave the house for 10 months, telling God that I will not leave the house. He spoke to me,” he narrated.
The Ngai wa Ngai Ciothe singer said that during the period of darkness, he stayed inside and wrote a few songs including his song Nitasimama which was to prove him.
However, he said he could not fully explain the events that caused his wedding to be called off because he was not yet ready to talk about them.
Winrose Wangui says the marriage ended after 2 months
