Winnie was on relationship and fellow Mombasa actor, Dan Sonko, and served the couple's goals for several days before their amicable divorce in 2023.

“Bwire Ndubi we are no longer together romantically. We are still very good friends, but when it comes to love/family – to each their own. We still maintain a good business relationship. I respect her as a queen in her own right. I care about her a lot, but the decision we reached was accepted for all because of the epidemic of # COVID-19so this separation should not be considered as a divorce. At the moment, I am a sole guardian and not seeking,” Sonko shared on social media.

Winnie who was known as Dida from the TV show Sultanahe was in love with JJ, a young man from a rich family, and they were even engaged but he went to marry another girl, Sultana.

JJ, whose real name is Othman Njaidi, has mourned his on-screen lover, Winnie, with a tearful message. She shared a video from one of the sessions when they were in bed and several pictures of them together, expressing her sadness.
