The summit meeting of the Cooperation Council between China and Africa FOCAC opened today on the 5th here in Beijing, where President Xi Jinping gave a speech announcing the raising relationship between China and all African countries that have diplomatic relations at the strategic level, and the relationship between China and Africa in general to reach a community with a common future of all situations in the new era.
President Xi has said that in the past 24 years since the establishment of FOCAC in 2000, China and African countries have understood each other and joined hands, and set a model for a new type of international relationship.
He explained that China and Africa account for one third of all the people in the world, so without China and Africa being modern, there will be no world of modern things. In the next three years, China wants to cooperate with Africa to implement 10 plans to develop modern things through cooperation to promote learning about modern civilization, business prosperity, industrial chain, communication networks, development, health, agriculture, people communication, green energy and security to strengthen the cooperation between China and Africa and lead the modern affairs of Southern countries.
He noted that African countries are pushing forward with their goal of fulfilling the modern things of Agenda 2063. And China and Africa wanting to fulfill their dreams of modern things together, will certainly start a wave of modern things in the Southern countries, and open a new page to build a human community with a shared future.
He added that, China and Africa should work together to fulfill modern things in six directions, that is, work together to encourage modern things that are fair and equitable, work together to encourage modern things that are transparent and mutually beneficial, work together to encourage modern things that give priority to the interests of the people, work together to encourage inclusive modern things, and working together to encourage modern things that support environmental conservation, as well as working together to encourage modern things that are peaceful and safe.
