Winnie Bwire's last message broke many hearts

On August 14, Winnie shared a tearful video asking fans to help her raise money for medical travel.

Several famous people, including Lulu Hassanre-shared his video and posters asking Kenyans to help him.

“I've been going through a very difficult time in and out of the hospital. I had promised to show you an understanding of what a cancer patient goes through but some days it gets so bad that we can't film. I was recently discharged, and I'm very happy about that. I'm back to training. I got dengue fever, but now I'm fine and I thank God for those little things,” A tearful Winnie said in the video.

Talking about his condition, he said that he was progressing very well with the use of drugs until he suffered side effects from the drugs he was using.

“Drugs have more than 41 side effects, and you don't know which ones, you get them over a period of time. That's what I've been struggling with. I contacted my doctors, they told me to stop taking the drugs and go back to Turkey for treatment,” he explained.

The talented actress then asked Kenyans for help in raising money to return to Turkey for treatment.

“The visas we have ready, but money is a challenge, please whatever you can send, the little you have if you can hold my hand. I have nothing to give you but you will save my life. I am so confused how expensive health care is. Every time I feel like I have taken 10 steps forward, I feel if I'm being dragged back I ask for strength, I thank you.

What cancer was Winnie Bwire fighting?

The family of the actress, popularly known as Dida, announced her death, revealing that she had contracted cancer while in Turkey.

Dida, who was diagnosed with breast cancer, had asked Kenyans for financial support as she battled the disease, asking them to give as much as they could.

He traveled to Turkey for treatment in August, knowing he would emerge victorious as he is brave.

Kenyans took to social media to mourn him.
